NEW BEER GARDEN NOW OPEN 

We have recently (April 2007) finished work on the first phase of our new hillside beergarden. This new dimension to the pub facilities is accessed via an internal staircase from the main bar area, and was formerly part of our private garden. The area has been built using materials which were already on site (stone- lots of it!) or available within the immediate locality- for instance all the wood used was grown within a few miles of the pub. As the garden already abounds with visual and textural drama (the view is spectacular), it has been finished using a planting scheme designed to excite the sense of smell using a multitude of herbs, lavendars and other scented plants. We very much hope you enjoy it.

We will shortly begin work on the second phase, the woodland garden. Watch this space!
